Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rounds in Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout telecom and technology workplace areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, deliveries, and visitors, and/or direct individuals to the appropriate check-in process according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and local responders when needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and/or communicate noteworthy activity to site leadership during shift transitions.
