As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes; document patrol activity and observed hazards per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access control concerns, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate updates to appropriate personnel and follow escalation procedures.
  • Monitor entry points and common areas for security-related concerns, assist with access procedures, and/or support special events with crowd guidance and incident reporting as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol findings, and/or interactions; help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and promptly reporting concerns.
