About the position

The Bradford Group family of brands is a world leader in new product development, selling joy for the last 50 years. Our global organization consists of 8 business divisions ranging from jewelry, apparel, collectible coins, home decor to holiday and more. We concept, create, design, and market our creative products directly to our customers, leveraging licenses with the biggest names in entertainment and sports to bring unique and curated products to customers across the globe. We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support our international business by performing and overseeing a wide range of corporate accounting duties. The individual will work with autonomy on various projects and collaborate directly, at the P&L level, with leaders of our business units to support their efforts to bring original gifts and collectibles to the market worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting for a business unit including reconciliation of inventory, sales returns & bad debt projection analyses, selling expense reconciliation, and actual to plan variances analyses/write-up for one business (all monthly work).
  • Prepare the financial statement and any necessary analysis, including the total reporting package which consists of the Controller's Report with appropriate comments on operational results and the analysis performed.
  • Address any management questions/concerns on operational results as part of financial reporting responsibility.
  • Prepare inventory roll and record appropriate financial transactions relating to cost of goods for a business unit.
  • Supervise/Train Staff/Assistant Accountants, involving day-to-day interaction, addressing routine questions, and reviewing work of subordinates.
  • Engage in special or process improvement projects/analysis to support ongoing business needs.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Superior analytical & problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented & organized
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent verbal, written communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ability to build model
  • Supervisory experience
