Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here. We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world. The Developer Content Team at DigitalOcean is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager II to develop and execute content strategy that helps digital native enterprises, startups, and developers succeed with cloud and AI technologies. This role will primarily focus on content strategy and planning, developing monthly and quarterly content priorities, while also editing contributions from internal and external writers. You’ll also lead development of longer-form content initiatives including research reports, in-depth guides, and content projects that establish thought leadership in cloud computing and AI. Your ownership area may include content across The Wave (our content property for technical decision makers covering artificial intelligence and cloud education), The DigitalOcean Blog, web pages, and long-form reports. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally with teams throughout the company to drive our generative engine optimization (GEO) efforts, partnership initiatives, and product marketing campaigns. This position is ideal for someone who is up-to-date with the evolving search landscape, including Google search changes and developments in LLMs, and has experience using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to improve processes and work more effectively. While you should be comfortable with hands-on content work for refreshes and updates, the overarching focus of your role will be on strategic content direction and editorial process management. This is a senior-level individual contributor position designed for someone who thrives on being hands-on with strategy and editorial work rather than managing a team.
