The Content Marketing Specialist plays a key role in creating high-impact, audience-driven marketing content across formats and channels. This individual will bring strong marketing copywriting skills and a creative mindset to support campaigns, digital initiatives, video production, and social media. While capable of writing traditional articles, this role emphasizes modern marketing formats, including video and multimedia content that drives engagement and brand awareness. In this role, you will collaborate with service line and industry content leads, designers, and digital marketers to create content that supports both brand storytelling and campaign objectives. You'll contribute to idea generation, content creation, and publishing across CBIZ's platforms, helping shape how the brand shows up in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Write persuasive, audience-focused copy for a range of marketing channels
  • Collaborate with design, video, and digital teams to produce multimedia content (e.g., infographics, animations, reels, etc.)
  • Participate in campaign development, helping shape messaging and content strategy.
  • Support developing and producing marketing videos, including scripting, storyboarding, and on-set or remote coordination as needed.
  • Assist with creating social media content and optimizing performance.
  • Contribute to content performance tracking and refinement.
  • Maintain content accuracy, brand consistency, and voice across all touchpoints.
  • Support special content projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Keep tasks updated in the project management system (e.g., Asana)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 Years of experience as a subject matter expert
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a content marketing or digital media role.
  • Excellent writing skills with a portfolio that includes marketing copy, social, and video content.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social best practices.
  • Experience collaborating on video, multimedia, or visual storytelling projects.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with content marketing tools (e.g., WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, project management systems).
