About the position
As the Senior Director of Product, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our product management function, driving strategy, execution, and alignment with business goals. You will manage a team of product managers and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, marketing, and sales to build and optimize products that fuel our platform's success. Responsibilities
- Define and execute a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with company objectives, focusing on revenue growth, customer value, and market leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Product Directors and Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and high performance.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Sales to ensure alignment and drive the successful delivery of initiatives.
- Develop product initiatives that directly contribute to revenue growth, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Drive a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
- Establish and optimize product development processes to improve efficiency, prioritization, and execution speed.
- Communicate product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product management and leadership.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative product strategies.
- Experience in platform businesses, marketplaces, or SaaS models preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant training or certifications in product management, product development (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, General Assembly, AIPMM Certified Product Manager, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with Jira Software or other development management tools.
- Experience with Agile product development lifecycle from requirements gathering and documentation to delivery and ongoing support.
- Experience with the Empowered Teams concept of Product Development.
- Background working in the Defense Industry highly preferred.
