This position works out of our Tech center in Little Canada/St. Paul, MN as part of our electrophysiology division. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. As the Electrical Engineer, at our Little Canada/St. Paul, MN location, you will be responsible for designing electromechanical medical devices in Abbott's Electrophysiology medical device division. In this fast growing, highly visible group, you will be instrumental in designing and developing medical equipment with strong emphasis/focus on analog design principles. This role develops and executes tests to assess EP products, manages and maintains ECAD library, and supports design development through creating parts and components. We are looking for a detail-oriented engineer to apply engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solutions for technical problems. Other work may include prototyping, electrical characterization and verification, PCB development, coding for test equipment, schematic symbol/footprint creation, and lab maintenance for our commercialized products.
