We are searching for a hands-on, passionate, driven Software Engineering Manager with experience in managing cross-functional development teams. This hands-on technology leader will be technology evangelist with a proven track record in delivering on technology initiatives in a fast-paced organization and building trusted relationships with peer groups and business partners. We are looking for a leader who achieves organization goals by being deliberate and resourceful in leading people. Additionally this leader will have proven experience in balancing priorities, risks and expenses to successfully manage, build, and operationalize on a portfolio of products and capabilities. This Senior Manager, Software Development will deliver high quality software to enhance customer experiences and is expected to drive vision, innovation and strategic plans that help advance CVS Health's enterprise solutions across our Digital Wellbeing portfolios. As one of our Senior Managers, you will be part of a dynamic team of senior engineers working in an Agile, accelerated development environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product management, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Analyze and contribute to project based on product team milestones and priority.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum team activities.
- Work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and performing assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Responsible for end-to-end application development & delivery including production deployment, application operationalization, and observability.
- Develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Spring boot, GCP, REST API and other tech stacks.
- Build and deploy services using GitHub, CircleCI, Harness as part of CI/CD process in leading Cloud Platforms - GCP or Azure.
- Continuously check and monitor App health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as needed.
- Be an advocate for and implementer of security best practices.
- Adopt and apply industry technology best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in direct product engineering leadership roles.
- 7+ years Java (Java 17 or later versions) software development and requirement analysis, design experience.
- 5+ years of RDBMS (PostgreSQL is preferred) experience.
- 5+ years of experience with agile development.
- 3+ years experience working on multiple IT projects on varying technology stacks especially cloud-based technologies AWS or GCP.
- 3+ years experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies.

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change requirements.

- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development methodology.

- Working experience of CI/CD pipeline, understanding of enterprise security and adherence.
