About the position

Financial Advisor Services (FAS) provides services and investment products, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and mutual funds, to Vanguard's financial advisor clients. FAS serves broker-dealers, asset managers, bank trust departments, registered investment advisors, and insurance companies, both at an advisor and home office level. Our vision is to deliver data-driven solutions and insights that inform every decision, enabling us to understand our clients and anticipate their needs, thereby providing the right products and services at the right time. Data and analytics are central to realizing this vision, enhancing the advisor and distribution experience, streamlining operations, and expanding our suite of products and services. As Head of Strategic Marketing Analytics, you will oversee a team of advanced data analysts responsible for a portfolio of strategic data projects that involve gathering data, verifying its accuracy and generating reports, dashboards, and Insights. You will regularly interact with MD-1 and MD-2 stakeholders in Marketing and Advisor Solutions and to provide key insights, help with prioritization, and maximize value delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, product managers, and marketing strategists.
  • Work closely with cross-divisional teams to design and implement cutting-edge analytical frameworks that support FAS's vision and business objectives.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets from various marketing channels.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of advanced statistical models to estimate the effectiveness of marketing tactics and predict future performance.
  • Evaluate the incremental impact of marketing investments on business outcomes.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to optimize marketing spend and improve campaign effectiveness based on model outputs.
  • Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Continuously refine models and methodologies to improve accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to forecast the potential outcomes of different marketing strategies and budget allocations.
  • Develop the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally and participating in external events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in people leadership, including mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic collaborations across diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of marketing mix modeling techniques, including multivariate regression and time-series analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing analytics, including marketing mix modeling, marketing touch attribution, and causal inference technologies.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets from various marketing channels.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining advanced statistical models.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex marketing problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and emerging marketing trends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital advertising, identity resolution, MMM, MTA, clean-room analytics, and preferably Adobe Marketing Suite.
