About the position

The Senior Manager Trend Marketing position at Adidas is focused on creating connections and establishing brand partnerships within the local communities of Atlanta. The role involves orchestrating product placements and seeding through a deep understanding of local trends and effective communication. The individual will be responsible for managing Trend and Culture marketing activities, ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external partners, and aligning brand activities with local partners and communities in collaboration with marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage network and partner relationships with local artists and influencers in Atlanta, focusing on music, fashion, and streetwear/lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product placement, events, and marketing.
  • Contribute to global and local brand initiatives by defining Culture Marketing partners and managing relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to connect artists and influencers to the brand through content creation, activations, events, seeding, and product collaborations.
  • Collect and communicate local trend and market updates to the Culture Marketing head office and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist the Senior Director in managing external agencies and implementing global/local Culture Marketing strategies.
  • Oversee category-specific Brand Marketing objectives for Culture Marketing in the Atlanta community.
  • Drive and implement strategic category plans in conjunction with category counterparts.
  • Oversee product ordering efforts for Culture Marketing needs, including forecasting and maintaining seeding product.
  • Place product orders for partner requests and arrange travel for talent and team.
  • Manage coordination and usage of appearance, production, and PR services within contract terms.
  • Lead and execute culture marketing seeding strategy for partner collaboration.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices per contract payment schedules.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the Culture Marketing industry and attend relevant events for networking.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of CM responsibilities within brand events and CM-specific events.
  • Act as Department lead in the absence of the Senior Director, supervising and mentoring other CM team members.

Requirements

  • BA in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of marketing experience within a consumer goods company.
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working in an international environment is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the city and local community.
  • Strong understanding of and passion for music, fashion, and streetwear.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines.
  • Solid contacts in the music, fashion, and streetwear/lifestyle industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build respect and trust with others.
  • Strong networking and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
  • Exercise professionalism at all times.
  • Willingness to work unconventional business hours (evenings, weekends).
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required by business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
