We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who is a self-motivated and ambitious candidate with experience in shipping high-quality graphics software and animation tools quickly and iteratively. As a Senior Product Designer at LottieFiles, you'll contribute to shaping our product vision into real-world impact through a user-centered approach. You will be responsible for design experiences translating complex animation technologies into delightful, intuitive, and compelling prototypes to accelerate the lab-to-market pipeline. You will work with other designers, engineers, and product managers to create forward-thinking, user scenario-driven designs that meet business goals and make our users' interaction with motion more seamless and delightful. We have many exciting new products planned that you will lead from research through implementation.
Responsibilities
- Identify, drive, and own opportunities across the LottieFiles ecosystem, informed by user and business insights and domain expertise.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand constraints and requirements and provide creative solutions.
- Understanding and translating the complexity of early-stage technologies into intuitive and compelling solutions.
- Design the user experience of animation tools to explore potential applications of Lottie technologies.
- Work across the entire design stack, including speccing projects with a product lead; conducting user research; usability testing and A/B testing; designing workflows, prototyping, and building pixel-perfect designs; and working with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation.
- Work closely with other engineers, product designers, and Lottie Studio designers to define end-to-end detailed interfaces and interactions.
- Applying the LottieFiles Design language and using and extending the LottieFiles Design System.
- Share your work early and often, clearly articulating your objectives and ideas.
- Actively seek and provide feedback to improve the LottieFiles ecosystem.
- Researching new findings and keeping up with the current trends could enhance the experience.
- Always ensure that communications with remote teams are on track and objectives are aligned.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of Product Design experience - designing, shipping, and iterating on multiple complex interactive digital products/features, leading and owning the end-to-end Product Design process.
- Expertise in designing motion design experience for designers and developers.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Excellent craft and attention to detail, understanding how small nuances interact to create a seamless, intuitive design.
- Experience applying and extending design systems and establishing design principles and practices that will empower and amplify other team members to deliver exceptional and consistent experiences.
- Experience with data visualization.
- Worked in rigorous design environments using some standard design tools (we use Figma, Linear, Pitch, and Notion).

- Familiarity with front-end (HTML, CSS, React, JS, etc) and animation-related technologies (Adobe Creative Suite, Framer Motion, GSAP, Motion One, etc).
