Senior Product Designer, New Modes

About the position

We're in search of a Senior Product Designer to become an important member of our New Modes team. As DoorDash expands its horizons and invests in new use cases, your contributions will help define how we connect the online and offline dining experience on our platform. This position is open for candidates in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York and will report to the Head of New Modes Design within our Consumer organization. This role will have a hybrid work model, working from one of our offices once a week.

Responsibilities

• Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service.
• Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward.
• Explore and refine your design solutions through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design.
• Influence your team's approach to product development, shaping the team's culture, processes, and practices.
• Improve the lives of millions of DoorDash customers every day.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience as a senior level designer.
• Strong consumer experience portfolio across mobile and web.
• Ability to excel in complex problem spaces and bring clarity to teams through mastery of the design process.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to collaborate across different functions.
• Systems-thinking approach to translate complexity into intuitive experiences.
• Balance strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to achieve simple and elegant solutions.
• Value high quality well-crafted visual design and care about the details.
