About the position
As a Senior Product Designer at Samsara, you will ship designs that our customers use every day to run their operations. We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape the daily experience of those customers across industries such as transportation and logistics, construction, food and beverage, government and more. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to identify customer needs, explore design solutions, and deliver value. You will also engage directly with customers and leverage their feedback throughout your process. You will be expected to influence strategy and ship well-crafted designs that make our customers’ operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, ambiguous projects and ship high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy.
- Influence the design team through mentorship and shape our culture.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
Requirements
- 8+ years experience designing web & mobile applications.
- Expertise in interaction and visual design.
- Figma fluency (including prototyping).
- Portfolio showcasing your craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact.
