About the position

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager - Cloud Security to lead product marketing for Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), a rapidly growing area within Microsoft's Cloud Security portfolio. In this role, you will define and drive the narrative and growth strategies for Microsoft Defender for Cloud's CSPM capabilities, partnering closely with engineering to influence product roadmap and bring new innovations to market. You'll lead messaging, positioning, and go-to-market execution to accelerate awareness, preference, and adoption of these capabilities. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and storyteller who thrives at the intersection of product, customer, and market insights.

Responsibilities

  • Bring new services and capabilities to market as a marketing launch lead and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with business planning on business model, pricing, and packaging decisions and bring these innovations to market.
  • Influence engineering on product roadmap and strategy.
  • Lead messaging and positioning for cloud security posture management product portfolio and innovations.
  • Create compelling, customer-centric content with consistency across all mediums (e.g. webpages, customer pitch decks, blog posts, FAQs, videos, etc.)
  • Derive insights on customer habits and preferences from telemetry, market research and competitive analysis to inform go-to-market plans.
  • Partner closely with product engineering, product marketing, business development and other functions to define strategy and align execution.
  • Foster diversity and inclusion on a thriving team while role modeling Microsoft's culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in Product Marketing OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Product Marketing OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years technology product management, product marketing, or transferable experience in developing product vision and strategy, value propositions, marketing content.
  • 2+ years experience in security solutions and/or adjacent enterprise SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS categories.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in Product Marketing OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in Product Marketing OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience creating messaging and engaging content that romances product scenarios rooted in customer outcomes.
  • Experience working successfully cross functionally.

Benefits

  • Base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year.
  • Base pay range for this role in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
