About the position

Relay is looking for a highly creative, empathetic and analytical product marketer to join our growing Product Marketing team. Relay's Product Marketing team is hyper-focused on ensuring our small business customers derive as much value from our platform as possible. Working closely with key stakeholders across Relay, the Product Marketing Team drives positioning and messaging, product launches, pricing and packaging, market research, competitive intelligence and other initiatives that accelerate our mission of helping entrepreneurs build healthy, cash-flow-positive businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own go-to-market strategies for new features and product launches.
  • Project manage product launches in collaboration with the rest of the marketing team.
  • Leverage customer knowledge to craft positioning and messaging that resonates with our market and users.
  • Influence product direction by building and socializing deep insights into our market.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer, market and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain a close pulse on the industry and competitors.
  • Work with Product to establish targets for adoption and engagement.
  • Refine product messaging across all stages of the customer journey.
  • Own sales enablement for your products and features.
  • Build strong relationships across every team in the company.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in working product marketing, ideally in a startup environment.
  • Successfully launched and driven adoption for a new product or feature.
  • Ability to craft and tell a story that resonates with stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and ability to derive messaging from customer conversations.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to determine KPIs and work independently with data teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working in fintech.
  • Previous experience working with a small business customer.
