About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. In this role, you will contribute to large scale planning of strategies, design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. You will review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures, resolve moderately complex issues, and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements. Collaboration and consultation with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers will be essential to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. You will also lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Python, design patterns such as Factory, Builder & MVC
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, as well as data modeling languages such as XML, YAML and JSON
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Oracle, non-SQL, MongoDB and other standard database query tools
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with web services such as REST
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with CI-CD Pipelines, OpenShift OCP, Harness, Micro-Services, Kubernetes/Helm Charts, GitHub & GitHub Action

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps Methodologies
  • Experienced with different SDLC methodologies like Agile SCRUM, Kanban, and JIRA boards
