As a Senior Software Engineer at mParticle by Rokt you will take ownership of key components within the Rokt product, focusing on delivering features while championing technical excellence across the engineering organisation. In this role you will be encouraged to influence our technology direction, establish innovative programs, and own architectural solutions. Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, stability, and reliability of critical cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals to drive initiatives aimed at developing and improving the scalability, availability, and performance of our systems.
- Take responsibility for system scaling, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support and mentor other engineers on best-practices, architecture, and quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) in production environments.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Python or JavaScript.
- Deep expertise in container orchestration (EKS or similar), including deployment, scaling, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of real-time event streaming architectures and distributed systems at scale, including tools like Kafka, Pulsar, and SNS/SQS.
- Experience with large-scale observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.) and performance monitoring in high-scale, data-intensive environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English - able to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
