About the position

The Onboarding team at GoDaddy is looking for a Software Engineer to help improve and expand the first impressions our customers have when they purchase a domain, website, or any of our growing suite of products. We’re focused on creating intuitive, efficient, and engaging web experiences that empower entrepreneurs to get online and grow their businesses. As a Software Engineer on our team, you’ll contribute to building and refining user-facing features in React and TypeScript, while also supporting backend services in Node.js when needed. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to experiment, iterate, and deliver impactful features. This is a highly collaborative role where customer empathy and code quality go hand in hand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Collaborate with teammates across product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, planning sessions, and design discussions.
  • Build with performance, accessibility, and security in mind.
  • Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability and confidence in shipping.
  • Occasionally help design or support backend APIs and services.
  • Stay curious and proactive in identifying areas for improvement or innovation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience in frontend or full-stack web development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
  • Experience building and maintaining user interfaces with a focus on usability and accessibility.
  • Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, browser behavior, performance).
  • Familiarity with backend development using Node.js and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working in an agile, iterative environment.
  • Passion for helping customers succeed and empathy for their experience.
