About the position

The ServiceNow Developer specializing in Software Asset Management (SAM) is responsible for developing and implementing software asset management solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to enhance software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing software usage across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules related to Software Asset Management, including license management, compliance tracking, and reporting.
  • Integrate ServiceNow SAM solutions with third-party tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
  • Design and develop efficient workflows that streamline processes and enhance user experience.
  • Work closely with the technical architect and product owner to align product vision, technical feasibility, and implementation strategies.
  • Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAM processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor the performance of SAM solutions and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into software asset utilization, compliance status, and optimization opportunities.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure that all development work adheres to established coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflows, and integrations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow SAM module, ServiceNow Discovery, IntegrationHub and related applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer) are a plus.
