About the position
Intelsat US LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Ellenwood, GA. The role involves developing and supporting Intelsat inventory, case, and other service assurance tooling capabilities to support the ServiceNow platform purpose-built for operations support systems (OSS) needs. The position requires performing developer and administrator support to harmonize and extend ServiceNow capabilities, developing solutions to business problems in accordance with SDLC best practices, and providing accurate work estimates while meeting deadlines and understanding project methodology. The job may require up to 5% domestic and/or international travel. Multiple positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support Intelsat inventory, case, and other service assurance tooling capabilities.
- Perform developer and administrator support to harmonize and extend ServiceNow capabilities.
- Develop solutions to business problems in accordance with SDLC best practices.
- Provide accurate work estimates and meet deadlines.
- Understand project methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Science, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Five (5) years of experience in ServiceNow.
- Five (5) years of experience in Asset management.
- Five (5) years of experience in CMDB.
- Three (3) years of experience in the Satellite or telecommunications industry.
- Three (3) years of experience in workflows, procedures, and best practices in data analysis and computer programming.
- Three (3) years of experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Three (3) years of experience in Agile development methodology.
- Three (3) years of experience in database warehousing.
- Three (3) years of experience working with physical, logical configurable item (CI) and service model instance to make sound operations recommendations.
- Three (3) years of experience in MS Excel, Access, and SQL.
