About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Delta Dental of California, you will partner with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Engineering peers to define, analyze, and estimate levels of effort to deliver at-scale solutions that meet business requirements. You will help structure the COE processes around intake and governance under the guidance of a development manager. Your responsibilities will include developing RPA using UiPath, establishing best practices, roadmaps, reusable components, and governance, as well as mentoring newer developers. You will collaborate with business and Technical SMEs to define automations, business rules, and exceptions, and perform feasibility analysis, architecture design, process design, solutions design, development, testing, deployment, and support of various RPA automation use cases. Additionally, you will support the production platform and deployments of UiPath, work closely with business systems analysts, conduct code reviews, estimate development efforts, and contribute to technical design documents. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues in RPA solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance, and implementing bot throughput logging, auditing, and exception handling.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Engineering peers to define and analyze business requirements.

  • Develop RPA using UiPath and establish best practices.
  • Collaborate with business and Technical SMEs to define automations and business rules.
  • Perform feasibility analysis, architecture design, and solutions design.
  • Support product/platform upgrades and 3rd party integrations.
  • Create and update user stories with the latest information and status.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to requirements and coding standards.
  • Estimate development efforts and provide guidance on timelines and risks.
  • Contribute to and author technical design documents and process design documents.
  • Architect scalable and efficient RPA workflows.
  • Integrate RPA solutions with existing systems through APIs and databases.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in RPA solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans for automated processes.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business and IT.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of how RPA works, with a strong focus on UiPath.
  • Proficiency in either VB.NET or C# for custom coding in UiPath.
  • Experience integrating databases (SQL, Oracle) and retrieving/storing data.
  • Experience consuming APIs (SOAP, Rest, Orchestrator) within UiPath workflows.
  • Familiarity with RE-framework for designing and implementing UiPath workflows.
  • Understanding of different SDLC methodologies like Agile and waterfall.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Skills in configuring UiPath Orchestrator with security best practices.
  • Change Management skills to maintain a change control process.
