Responsibilities
- Leading by example in software design and implementation across multiple teams and projects, setting standards for architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
- Partnering with Product Marketing to interpret requirements, propose technical solutions, and drive execution planning through collaborative breakdown of work.
- Writing and reviewing code, contributing directly to feature delivery, technical quality, and performance improvements.
- Developing and maintaining internal technical documentation, including system architecture, design decisions, and code-level references.
- Guiding the use of proven design patterns (e.g., Gang of Four), clean code practices, and architectural principles, and mentoring others to build shared engineering excellence.
- Incorporating emerging tools - especially generative AI - into development workflows to accelerate delivery, manage change, and improve outcomes.
- Collaborating across roles and functions (product managers, QA, design, customer support) to ensure shared understanding and coordinated progress.
- Participating in project planning and estimation to support effective scope definition, delivery timelines, and risk management.
- Staying informed on new technologies and engineering practices, evaluating and sharing recommendations for organizational benefit.
- Supporting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through self-directed development and mentorship of peers.
- Maintaining confidentiality of company intellectual property and customer information.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Git, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases, and AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience in designing complex systems
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and systems thinking skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
