About the position
As a Senior Software Developer at 7-Eleven, you will lead the software development, analysis, and design solutions. You will work collaboratively with internal software engineering teams to automate the creation of cloud resources and software artifacts, automate the testing of those artifacts, and then automate the deployment and monitoring of the solutions. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues with cloud infrastructure-as-code and various software languages, aiming to improve software speed-to-market, quality, and security. You will also mentor junior developers, network with the cloud team, and discuss object-oriented design concepts with Java developers. Additionally, you will propose and lead new and improved solutions in areas ranging from tools to processes to technical skills for Development Teams. You will contribute to the overall body of software development knowledge, participate actively in code reviews, tool evaluations, and document new features. You will interface with multiple software development teams to help them automate their build, deploy, or publish processes and adopt the Enterprise CI/CD platform, promoting Cloud, Security, and DevOps best practices and architectures. Your role will also involve extending the CI/CD platform to support new tools and technologies, developing high-quality and well-designed code with automated tests, and being responsible for Cloud software development using Amazon Web Services, Azure, or GCP.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Technical Lead, Senior DevOps Engineer, or in a related/similar position.
- 6 years working in software development.
- 4 years in Cloud software development using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- 3 years with Terraform and Git.
- 2 years using NodeJS, Python, Docker, and Jenkins.
