Senior Software Engineer

About the position

As a Software Engineer for the Counter Communication System (CCS) Sustainment program, you will be responsible for sustaining the software of the CCS system. You will collaborate with a team of software engineers to fix deficiencies, add enhancements, new capabilities, and ensure compliance with the latest cyber policies, and more. You will work with the United States Space force program leadership to ensure warfighters are supplied with the support they need to perform their duties.

Responsibilities

• Sustain the software of the Counter Communication System (CCS).
• Collaborate with a team of software engineers to fix deficiencies.
• Add enhancements and new capabilities to the CCS system.
• Ensure compliance with the latest cyber policies.
• Work with United States Space Force program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
• Agile experience preferred.
• Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Typescript, JavaScript, and Java.
• Experience with programming in Unix/Linux environments including shell scripting.
• Experience with full stack software development.
• Strong development skills including design concepts, supporting code reviews, and clear debugging logic.
• Experience with database development.
• Experience with React.
• Experience working on software that interfaces with hardware.
• Experience with unit, integration, and automated testing.
