Senior Staff Software Development Engineer

About the position

Zscaler is looking for an experienced Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering Team in San Jose, California, in a hybrid environment, working three days a week in the office. This role involves designing and developing automation test frameworks and test suites to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of Zscaler products. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and engineering teams to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality software, as well as plan and execute test suites for each release.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing automation test frameworks and test suites to test Zscaler products for reliability, scalability and resilience
• Working closely with product managers, developers and engineering teams towards continuous delivery of high-quality software
• Planning and execution of test suites for each release

Requirements

• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Proficient in Python programming and test frameworks such as PyTest
• Experience with testing on cloud-based architectures
• 5+ years of software development/testing experience

Nice-to-haves

• CCNA or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience with writing Selenium/Playwright scripts in Python is desirable
