About the position

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for driving the materials planning process for new product introductions and product discontinuations within the Outdoors Business Unit. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory readiness to support product transitions while minimizing risk to customer service and overall inventory health. The analyst will also partner closely with demand planners, materials planners, and commercial teams to build glidepaths that support customer-facing initiatives and recovery actions related to late orders or fill rate gaps. The objective is to help deliver a 98%+ customer fill rate while supporting smooth lifecycle transitions. Position Location: This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Associates are required in office (Deerfield, IL) Tues-Thurs with the option to work remotely Monday & Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain materials and inventory plans to support new product launches and product phase-outs.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels and positioning across the supply network to minimize service misses and prevent stockouts.
  • Collaborate with demand and materials planning teams to proactively identify and reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory during transitions.
  • Create and manage inventory glidepaths to support customer service recovery from late shipments or fill rate misses.
  • Monitor new product performance against forecast and propose actions to mitigate inventory or service risks.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional supply chain initiatives aligned with the Fortune Brands Innovations – Vision into Action strategy.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support planning accuracy and execution during product transitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in any element of supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or PeopleSoft; exposure to advanced planning tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and drive meaningful actions.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong execution focuses and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Software, PowerPivot and Macro experience a plus.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
