About the position

As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you will develop deep knowledge of our Campus and Data Center Switching Hardware, Software and Solution products. You will impact and empower product definition and design, technical sales support, and solution architecture for Switching.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling demonstrations that best showcase HPE Aruba Networking industry-leading solutions for our Security-first AI Powered Networking, as well as the AOS-CX switching portfolio for Campus and Data Center network design and Architectures.
  • Serve as the Aruba Switching authority and key technical advisor/guide for Aruba Enterprise Switching Products and Solutions.
  • Create technical Enterprise Switching Architectures, Webinars, Videos, Documents/ Collaterals, Podcasts, Blogs, Social media posts, Presentations, Resource Guides / Playbooks, Newsletters & email blast content, Webpages, and demonstrations for our Aruba Switching platforms and solutions.
  • Track and identify product solution gaps, competitive differentiation, and link the outputs to marketing collateral and engineering developments.
  • Proactively learn and engage with SE/CSE/Customers, enhance knowledge and build subject-matter expertise (SME) by attending training; vendor presentations; conducting research online; completing courseware; etc.
  • Reference Architectures: Create examples of use cases and network deployments, highlighting Aruba Switching's unique value proposition, differentiated features and functionality combined with best practices to support common customer requirements.
  • Develop 'deep-dive' technical presentations used by Aruba's Pre-Sales Engineering (SE) team, Channel and Service Provider partners to educate customers.
  • Reinforce the Core Product Managers in prioritizing Customer NFRs and writing PRDs to communicate to the Engineering team requirements around new functionality and strategic roadmap items.
  • Create and drive development and creation of highly impactful technical collateral to better enable our sales engineers and partners.
  • Assist our System Engineers, Marketing, Sales teams with deep-dive technical presentations, roadmap updates and product demonstrations in selective engagements and for very large Opportunity engagements.

Requirements

  • Min. 10+ years of networking, security, telemetry, and automation experience.
  • Min. 5+ years of TME experience.
  • Security certification will be a plus.
  • Data Center certification will be a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Data Center Networking designs, architectures.
  • Excellent knowledge of data center networking security, telemetry, and automation.
  • Data Center deployment experience such as HPE or Dell EMC hyper converged solution, HPE Storage and Compute.
  • Advanced networking knowledge such as BGP Based EVPN, EVPN-VXLAN.
  • Advanced security knowledge such as IPsec, NAT, IDS, IPS, DDoS and NG-Firewall.
  • Advanced telemetry knowledge such as IPFIX, gNMI, gRPC, Automation.
  • Excellent understanding of ultra-high port density, native 400GbE in-line MACsec, and the latest generation ASIC helpful such as Broadcom Trident 4.
  • Configuration experience with MP-BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning-Tree, and Layer-2. MPLS ideally.
  • Excellent understanding of Data Center technologies such as Data Center Fabric Spine, EVPN-VXLAN Fabric, Data Center Interconnect (DCI) Border, Secure DCI, Multi-tier network design, IP Fabric, NSX, Openstack (neutron), IPv6, storage networking.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to understandable language to match the level of the audience.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large scale enterprise networks, while exhibiting a clear understanding of the competitive landscape of the industry.
  • Excellent customer communication skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Ability to perform intermediate-level programming or scripting, including Python.
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel, maximum 25% of time.
