Summary

This role is responsible for leading strategy development, growth planning, analytic analysis and tactical execution of marketing initiatives in support of Home Service Plus's (HSP) business objectives to drive increased customer count, customer attachments, customer and product retention, engagement and customer satisfaction and loyalty along the customer lifecycle continuum and help HSP reach its business and financial goals. This individual oversees the development, management and execution of promotional plans for all HSP products, including product development, in collaboration with other departments and cross-functional teams that support the HSP business.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

* Works collaboratively with the HSP Business Director to establish annual goals, objectives and resources necessary for customer-facing marketing efforts.
* Oversees the development of marketing strategy and plans in support of HSP's business objectives to drive increased customer count and attachments, retention, engagement and customer satisfaction and loyalty along the customer lifecycle continuum and help HSP reach its business and financial goals.
* Analyzes market and customer information to oversee the development and execution of marketing plans that address HSP customer needs as defined through analytics and market research and uncover and capitalize on new market opportunities, including new product development.
* Guides HSP Product Managers to determine the optimal marketing approach using best practices in automation, channel mix (digital/conventional), creative (message platform/art direction) and product and brand positioning. Is a leader in the review and development of new marketing strategies regarding digital and mobile channels.
* Guides HSP Product Managers to determine campaign budget requirements for cost-effectively reaching current and potential HSP customers. Develops the annual HSP Marketing budget and effectively communicates related annual HSP sales goals with key channels including Call Centers, Gas Operations (technicians channel), and Web.
* Analyzes primary and secondary market research results and communicates key findings to provide direction to future marketing initiatives. Collaborates effectively with Market Insights to achieve optimal marketing results.
* Manages the overall effectiveness of HSP product portfolio including product pricing.
* Provides clear direction for performance within allotted resources through budget preparation, allocation and control, and business decision-making.
* Sets clear performance expectations and works to maximize the expertise, effectiveness, and development of team members and other departments and cross-functional teams that support the HSP business

Job Requirements

Education:

Requires a bachelors degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited college or university.

In lieu of the degree, may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as two years credited toward a bachelors degree and four years of experience as noted in the experience section below.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience in marketing, with direct experience in strategic plan development, project/product management, development and implementation of marketing and communications plans, formal and informal team leadership, internal and external communications, and development of business plans and business cases.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities & Personal Characteristics (KSLAPs):

* Mastery of strategic planning processes and the incorporation of multiple sources of information into long and short term strategic and tactical plans with the ability to direct others in applying these skills.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze data in Excel and other systems, data-driven decision-making and respond to market opportunities, customer needs and competitors.
* Mastery of traditional and digital marketing principles and how to apply them in the development and execution of promotional plans.
* Extensive knowledge of market research principals and application of research findings.
* Extensive knowledge of the financial viability and pricing of products.
* Extensive knowledge of product road mapping and iteration of products as interest increases or decreases.
* Mastery of Customer Relationship Management systems, email automation and database management and reports.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Demonstrated ability to establish and manage marketing budgets and business unit financial plans.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and achieve results in a cross-functional workplace.
* Understands Design Thinking and other innovative principles.
* Comprehensive knowledge of retail industry and/or business-to-consumer marketing is desirable. Home Services and/or Energy industry knowledge is a plus.
* Substantial experience in e-commerce, digital, and mobile campaign execution.
