About the position

The Digital Marketing Analyst, Social Media Marketing Coordinator provides support for social marketing daily activities and initiatives within Synovus. This role supports the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, Social to help manage and facilitate all social marketing and monitoring for Synovus. This individual will be responsible for making sure project timelines are met for large and small social marketing projects. This person may also manage the day to day activity with content posts and campaigns being run in addition to community management and advocacy planning. Additionally, this role will be assisting in social reporting on a weekly or monthly basis, providing insights and analysis back to Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, Social for interpretation and impact to lines of business and internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Sr. Manager to develop and assess varying social media strategies alongside integrated marketing strategies, defining target audiences, and lead campaign execution internally or with agency.
  • May work directly on employee advocacy programs and education, including onboarding, training, reporting, asset management and communication to partners throughout the bank during planning and implementation of the pilot program.
  • Schedules meetings, takes comprehensive notes and publishes conference reports.
  • Creates and maintains detailed project timelines for digital initiatives.
  • Tracks progress of agency and Synovus milestones and deliverables against project timelines.
  • Reviews social and/or web content and coordinates feedback and approval processes.
  • Gathers and refines project objectives and requirements; completes project initiation forms.
  • Create and maintain Content Calendars, including writing Facebook Status Updates.
  • Post relevant content in accordance with Content Calendar Moderation.
  • Review user generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner.
  • Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user's experience.
  • Pulls reporting associated with social channels, campaign performance, or paid ad channel performance.
  • Uses monitoring tools to assess social reputation and develop strategies to improve social presence and engage communities.
  • Compiles reporting and provides detailed analysis looking at performance benchmarks across channels.
  • Reviews all content and design for Synovus social channels, ads, and postings.
  • Participates in QA testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Assists with troubleshooting errors.
  • Maintains final copies of creative and lists (where applicable) for audit purposes.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area and raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Supports and is cross-trained on other channels and functions within the digital marketing team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of marketing experience with a focus in social marketing, program and community management, employee advocacy, social selling or digital marketing.
  • Experience working in native social platforms through community management, organic posting, paid ad support, reporting and other functions.
  • Experience in social media listening tools, dashboards and platforms a plus (Sprout, Sprinklr, HootSuite, Meltwater, Sendible, etc.).
  • Must have the ability and desire to occasionally travel or work evenings and/or weekends as required by business needs for social media coverage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking, calendar management, deliverable tracking, review and approval organization and self-guided time management.
  • Excellent communication skills with basic proficiency in copywriting and editing based on brand guides and AP style.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with focus on long-term relationship-building with stakeholders and other members of the marketing team.
  • Proficiency in social media data interpretation or desire to learn.
  • Analytical thinking skills and creative problem solver; enjoys learning new things.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.

  • Experience with social publishing and listening tools.
  • Sprout Social experience is a plus.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in financial services or banking is a plus.
  • Experience with Sitecore or another leading content management system.
