As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will play a key role in building the next generation of business automation. You will collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and scientists to design, develop, and deploy the agentic AI solutions that will power this transformation. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new initiative, work with complex distributed systems, and see your contributions directly improve how Prime Video operates for our customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and reliable services for our automation platform.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and applied scientists to deliver on our product roadmap and solve customer problems.
  • Utilize your problem-solving skills to tackle technical challenges in a large-scale distributed environment.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design reviews, code reviews, and operational support, while adhering to engineering best practices.
  • Work backwards from business needs to build features and systems that directly impact our internal customers and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
