Our team is looking for a software development engineer to join our Data Insights team. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure required to support robust analytics, reporting and data-driven decision-making, potentially using basic to intermediate ML models. You will be playing a crucial role in developing the next generation contact center, and get the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, resilient systems while maintaining a constant customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines and workflows on AWS services (e.g. AWS Glue, Lambda, Step functions, Firehose).
- Build and manage data stores using a broad range of technologies including but not limited to Amazon S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch and related AWS storage services.
- Setup and maintain real-time and batch data processing pipelines with Kinesis, Firehose and related analytics services.
- Develop optimized, scalable data models tailored for analytics and reporting use cases.
- Architect and implement best practices for a robust data infrastructure.
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and security compliance across systems.
- Partner with data scientists, product managers, partner teams' engineers to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that drive actionable insights.
- Integrate with Connect and AWS-based analytics solutions (e.g. Connect Analytics, Connect Data Lake, Quicksight).
- Advocate for self-service data platforms and democratize data access across teams.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Drive code reviews, establish best practices, coding and design standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about the latest AWS services and evaluate their relevance to enhance the data ecosystem.
- Lead the adoption of new AWS analytics and machine learning tools.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
