About the position
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with exposure to AWS tools and services to help architect state-of-the-art data infrastructure and analytics solutions. Our team is responsible for core data infrastructure, ML/AI, and analytics tools that serve as the backbone for automated satellite testing operations to enable rapid scaling of on-orbit ops and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation and support of a data warehousing platform.
- Lead design, implementation, and delivery of a data platform in ambiguous and complex problem spaces.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to define and implement system architectures for integrated test venues.
- Build solutions to manage the many data sources needed to operate our system at large scale.
- Lead technical roadmap definition efforts and decide what features and performance improvements to build.
- Instill best practices for software development documentation, making sure designs meet requirements, delivering high quality software on tight schedules.
- Automating and maintaining complex ETL workflows.
Requirements
