About the position

Help craft the future of how Amazonians access customer data. You and your team are charged with securing the endpoints that Amazonians use in over 100+ countries around the world to effectively serve our customers. Protect our customer information from malicious groups and programs by building standardized endpoint access mechanisms and endpoint exploitation prevention systems. Keep the business running by building horizontally-scalable and highly available distributed services on Native AWS, scalable data pipelines, and anomaly/problem detection systems. You will make a difference in this space for the thousands of representatives who use our tool and the millions of customers they support. A day in the life You influence the future for the systems you build from inception to execution. You design, plan, engineer, test, release, and support critical software systems. You apply algorithms and security practices to construct Operating System Components, AWS based Services, Tools, Workflows, and Monitoring Solutions that secure our devices from malware, and communications from eavesdroppers.

Responsibilities

  • Secure the endpoints used by Amazonians in over 100+ countries.
  • Build standardized endpoint access mechanisms and endpoint exploitation prevention systems.
  • Develop horizontally-scalable and highly available distributed services on Native AWS.
  • Create scalable data pipelines and anomaly/problem detection systems.
  • Design, plan, engineer, test, release, and support critical software systems.
  • Apply algorithms and security practices to construct Operating System Components, AWS based Services, Tools, Workflows, and Monitoring Solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
