Software Development Engineer

About the position

As a Software Development Engineer at Zoom, you can expect to design and develop high-impact, scalable solutions for the Zoom Phone product. The engineering team is focused on the development and evolution of Zoom's cloud-based phone services. You will work closely with the PM team to execute product strategies, ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and user-friendly communication solutions. By collaborating with PM, design, sales, and support teams, you will help enhance the telephony experience for users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn roadmap vision into deliverables.
• Designing and delivering customer-facing features.
• Implementing cloud-based automation and deployment strategies.
• Providing technical troubleshooting and customer support.
• Analyzing and optimizing program performance.
• Creating technical design documents and API documentation.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related major.
• 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Full-stack web application developer with expertise in cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, AWS, NoSQL, JS frameworks (React, Angular), HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, AWS S3, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Programming experience in Java and experience with Java open source frameworks such as Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Experience in cloud computing, application security, and familiar with secure development practices.
• Experience in building application platform solutions integrating with third-party applications and services.
• SMS development experience.
