About the position

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes program requirements to assess whether requirements for planning and implementation have been adequately addressed and whether planning adequately reflects known operational, design, and support requirements in accordance with current directives.
  • Generates, implements, analyzes, and modifies Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP).
  • Assembles and reviews Integrated Logistics Assessment (ILA) documentation packages.
  • Modifies/enhances, assembles/integrates, tests/monitors, purchases/produces hardware and parts/materials required to support mission capability of new or existing facilities/laboratory technology systems.
  • Taskings includes new technology improvements and updates to systems (to include weapons and military systems), subsystems, equipment, support equipment, and components, which includes documenting related logistical requirements.
  • Analyzes maintenance capability and provides recommendations regarding maintenance, planning, analysis, and management to establish Government capability.
  • Incorporates recommendations into maintenance products such as developing and establishing new technical data, technical manuals, inspection requirements, and maintenance procedures for each level of maintenance.
  • Conducts maintenance task, sustainability, and supportability analysis to identify test, support, ground handling, calibration equipment, and fixtures needed to establish organic intermediate and depot level maintenance capability.
  • Supports Procurement Liaisons in developing partnerships with, and overseeing, product support integrators and support providers.
  • Recommends procurement plans and provides the logistics services needed to provide equipment at the appropriate maintenance level.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Analysts.

Requirements

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in defense or intelligence environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, PMP).
