We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our Camera and Sensor Software team, with a demonstrated experience with low-level development of camera drivers, sensor integration, and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) components. This position plays a critical role in bringing up camera hardware, enabling sensor functionality, and ensuring seamless end-to-end imaging performance on embedded platforms for MR devices. As part of the team, you will work closely with silicon vendors, board design engineers, and platform teams to bring up and debug camera sensors (such as image sensors, time-of-flight sensors, IR sensors, etc.) at the register and protocol level (I2C, MIPI CSI). You will develop and maintain kernel-mode device drivers for camera and imaging sensors, ensuring proper initialization, calibration, power sequencing, and performance. You will also be responsible for implementing and extending the Camera HAL, bridging the gap between low-level hardware drivers and higher-level frameworks such as Android Camera API. This is a hands-on engineering role that offers the opportunity to work on the camera stack which is key to MR devices & experiences.
