One of our companies is currently looking for a Software Engineer, Developer Platform Engineer in the United States. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing developer workflows, managing continuous integration systems, and building automation tools to improve software development efficiency. You will collaborate with engineering teams to optimize the tools and infrastructure that support the development lifecycle, allowing for smoother and more efficient operations. Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain developer workflows for languages such as C++, Python, and Go, including build, lint, code coverage, and testing support.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize continuous integration (CI) systems, leveraging AWS and Buildkite.
  • Develop and deploy automation tools that streamline developer tasks such as change submissions, integration testing, and dependency management.
  • Design and implement basic monitoring services to track system performance and stability.
  • Contribute to the migration of the build system to Bazel, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing improvements.
  • Provide on-call support, incident management, and monitoring for the internal systems and tools.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of build systems, version control tools (git), linting, code review, testing frameworks, and deployment frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and principles; experience with Buildkite is a plus.
  • Experience in developing tools and services in Python or Go.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, both in development and operational environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and familiarity with cloud infrastructure services.
  • Experience in on-call support processes, incident management, and monitoring tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
