About the position

As a Fullstack Software Engineer on the Digital Twin team, you will play a key role in modeling the real world and building the end-to-end software necessary for real-world automation solutions. You will be responsible for developing intuitive user interfaces using Angular, designing and implementing robust microservices, defining APIs, and ensuring seamless integration between the frontend, backend systems, simulation, and robotics hardware. This role requires a generalist mindset with the ability to contribute across the full software stack, enabling users to design, configure, and interact with digital representations of robotic workcells and drive automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create user-friendly tools that empower users to design, configure, and manipulate the layout and behavior of digital workcells.
  • Design and develop modern, responsive web applications for interacting with digital twins of robotic workcells using Angular and Typescript.
  • Define and implement APIs and data models using Protobuf and gRPC that contribute towards a generic and extensible robotics platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver a cohesive and delightful user experience.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of our platform, focusing on the intersection of frontend user experience and robust backend services for digital twins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional full stack engineering experience, including proficiency in building client-side (Typescript/Javascript, Angular) and server-side (Go, C++, gRPC, etc.) software.
  • Sound foundation in software engineering principles.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with and broad understanding of industrial robotic automation and simulation platforms (e.g., Gazebo, Omniverse).
  • Experience with 3D graphics and visualization libraries like Three.js, WebGL, or similar technologies in a web context.
  • Practical experience optimizing performance and scalability for distributed web applications.
