About the position

At Google DeepMind, we're building what could be one of humanity's most useful inventions. The Gemini team is at the heart of this mission, creating the product that puts the power of our most advanced models into the hands of millions of users every day. Gemini is one of Google's top efforts for 2025, and you'll be building it.

Responsibilities

  • Craft the Gemini Experience with Full-stack Engineering: Design, build, and deploy new user-facing features from the initial concept to millions of Gemini users.
  • Write code for our frontend clients on Android / iOS / Web and our frontend server infrastructure that powers the user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and world-renowned AI researchers to transform cutting-edge model capabilities into intuitive, magical product features.
  • Architect elegant, scalable, and performant systems.
  • Focus on shipping high-quality and reliable valuable features to our users.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Kotlin, Swift, Java, Objective-C, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience building and shipping applications on Android, iOS, or modern Web platforms.
  • Experience developing and deploying user-facing applications powered by LLMs.
  • A data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics and user logging to inform product decisions.
  • Familiarity with Google-specific tools like Mendel experimentation or RASTA.

Benefits

  • Base salary range between $141,000 - $202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
