Software Engineer I - Intern

About the position

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our software development team. The ideal candidate has experience or coursework in one or more of the following: Java, Python, or Node.js, and is familiar with relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. Exposure to AWS cloud services is a plus. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world application development and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing backend services and APIs
• Work with databases to design, query, and manage data
• Support deployment and monitoring tasks in AWS
• Collaborate with the team on design and code reviews

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with Git and RESTful APIs
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or coursework in Java, Python, or Node.js
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Exposure to AWS cloud services
