The App Platform team is driving innovation by enabling customers, partners, and other Guidewire teams to build AI-enabled, cloud-native solutions for insurance companies to accelerate their products to market, gain insights into business performance, and deliver the best experience for their customers. Are you passionate about AI? Are you interested in building software platforms? We are looking for a creative and ambitious Software Engineer with a strong coding and AI background to join the team. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with other engineers to design and develop microservices and other components of our AI platform. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing our industry-leading products.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the components of our app platform, specifically those that enable AI capabilities.
- Collaborate within agile, fast-paced development teams, delivering product features and enhancements.
- Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of applications, adhering to best practices for cloud environments.
- Proactively triage and resolve code defects, ensuring minimal disruption to production systems and quick issue resolution.
- Maintain secure coding practices and address application security findings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safeguarding against vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in Javascript, Typescript, or Python.
- Experience with public clouds (especially AWS).
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement.
- BS or MS degree in CS or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with LangChain and AI patterns such as RAG and ReAct.
- Experience with Authz, especially OAuth and JWT.
- Experience with agent platforms like LangGraph or CrewAI.
- Experience with databases such as DynamoDB or Postgres.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $100,000 - $174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
