About the position
The position is open to work in Alpharetta, GA location. Candidates must live locally to the area to be considered. At this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (or applicable country) on a full-time basis without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship. The role involves working throughout the software development life cycle and performing in a utility capacity to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures. Responsibilities include analyzing existing applications, formulating logic for new applications, maintaining application and programming documents, and recommending changes in development standards.
Responsibilities
- Work within a support team to support business partners to ensure that the Front end processing system is up and running in a highly available fashion.
- Coordinate, support and validate patching efforts along with code releases.
- Assist in gathering and verification of non-functional requirements, review of architectures and designs, adherence to standards, and developing strategies for validating target requirements.
- Participate in bridge calls to assist in debugging efforts during the incident management process.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Collaborate with the development team on priorities, challenge scope-creep, and negotiate timelines with the product owner.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for off hours support.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field.
- Typically minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge and use of one or more front/back end languages/technologies and moderate understanding of the other corresponding end language/technology.
- Experience working with various APIs and external services.
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Some background or understanding in Transaction Application Language (TAL) and COBOL.
Nice-to-haves
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field.
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data.
- Experience with IBM Rational Tools.
