We're searching for a Software Engineer II to join Aurora's Map Fusion team.
Responsibilities
- Dynamically updating map content based on perceived lane boundaries and construction blockages on-the-fly.
- Updating routing plans based on unexpected construction observed online.
- Producing smooth paths that can be used as initial seeds for motion planning trajectory optimization through construction and other unexpected circumstances.
- Proving that all of this functionality can be achieved in a high-integrity, highly available way.
- Implementing mission-critical online algorithms in the intersection of semantic mapping and motion planning.
- Developing validation frameworks running on large amounts of data in large cloud compute settings.
- Providing safety case evidence.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with strong C++ and Python fluency.
- Robotics Systems Fluency (Coordinate Frames, System Dynamics).
- Technical Leadership (People Management is Not Required).

- Bayesian Experience.

- Experience with System Testing / Validation.
