Responsibilities

  • Utilize your frontend expertise to solve complex developer experience problems within our internal tools.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers on the DevTools team to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions.
  • Be a proactive team player, contributing to a collaborative environment where learning and knowledge-sharing are valued and expected.
  • Write clean, performant, maintainable, and testable code, primarily in TypeScript and Next.js.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for new features, while also improving coverage for existing functionalities.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
  • Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation, both within the codebase and in external knowledge bases.
  • Adhere to and help refine engineering standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our internal users' needs, working closely with stakeholders to understand their challenges and requirements.
  • Embrace an agile, iterative, and curious mindset in tackling every challenge.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of frontend software development experience, with a focus on delivering robust web applications.
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with dockerfiles and containers.
  • Experience with modern CSS frameworks (e.g., shadcn, Tailwind CSS, styled-components).
  • Demonstrated experience consuming and integrating with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
  • Ability to integrate third-party SDKs and APIs as needed.
  • A decent understanding of Kubernetes and core infrastructure concepts.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with expertise in distilling complex technical topics for a broader audience.
  • Openness to growth and learning new skills to advance with the team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, RDS, elasticache.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Helm and Terraform.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience contributing to or managing open-source projects.
