About the position
Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In this role, you will develop the iOS photos memories feature using Swift/SwiftUI to create reliable, delightful experiences that help users relive important life moments. Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.
Responsibilities
- Develop product or system code.
- Analyze and resolve product or system issues by debugging, tracking and assessing impact on hardware, network and service operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design, build and deploy new features in Photos iOS application.
- Build user-facing features for Google Photos iOS.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics from launches and experiments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with iOS application development.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with the Swift programming language.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution and software test engineering.
