About the position

In this opportunity as an Innovation Team Prompt Engineer, you will develop and prototype AI-driven legal tools by designing prompt chains and writing Python code to address real-world legal challenges. You will collaborate with customers—including lawyers, judges, and government agencies—to deeply understand their needs and translate problems into innovative solutions. You will experiment with and deploy frontier AI models, often working with early-access technologies from leading AI labs. The role requires balancing legal workflows with technical creativity to build products that streamline and enhance legal work. You will work in a fast-paced, highly experimental environment, iterating rapidly to test new ideas and push the boundaries of legal tech. Engaging in cross-functional teamwork with engineers, designers, and legal experts will be essential to refine and scale prototypes into impactful products. You will drive original thinking and initiative, thriving in a culture that values curiosity, experimentation, and freedom over hierarchy.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A JD degree or equivalent degree from a common law country.
  • Demonstrated ability to write production-level Python code.
  • Deep curiosity about artificial intelligence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across disciplines.
