Software Engineer Level 1 - 3 TS/SCI/FS Poly ONLY

About the position

Altamira Technologies is seeking Software Engineer levels 1-3 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. These systems may include processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements. The role involves working individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, and resolving software problem reports. The Software Engineer will utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies and provide input to system design, including hardware/software tradeoffs and requirements analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide input to software components of system design, including hardware/software tradeoffs and requirements analysis.
• Participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the Government's software development procedures.
• Author documentation and participate in technical presentations on assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., computer science, information systems, network engineering) from an accredited college or university.
• Eight (8) years of relevant programming experience in the field.
• A master’s degree in a relevant discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant programming experience may be substituted for a total of 12 years.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
• TS/SCI/Full Scope Poly clearance.
