About the position

Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to join the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will be responsible for software development using the Java language.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting thorough analysis and providing technical support for systems software products, which includes resolving complex problems, designing, developing, testing, operational integration, and offering user support
  • Designs, codes, maintains, debugs, and configures enterprise software applications and products
  • Works from specifications to develop or modify operating system applications
  • Assists with the design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs
  • Collaborates with other system support groups to resolve issues, establishes standards, and enhances the overall efficiency of the operating system
  • Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation
  • Will work with Risk Management Framework, STIG, Fortify, and SonarQube mitigation
  • Will work with server-side/database development and computer system administration

Requirements

  • Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
  • Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience
  • Experience and knowledge of basic software practices are essential, including coding standards and configuration management
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using Java
  • Knowledge and experience with Java foundation classes and toolkits
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux is required
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team; understanding of Agile methodology
  • Use of common software development and management tools such as Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven/Gradle, Eclipse
  • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams

  • Experience developing software for Windows platforms is desired
  • Full Stack experience

  • Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts
