Software Engineer

About the position

As a Software Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will perform software requirements analysis, participate in research and design, and develop and test software and tools. Your role will involve inventing new products or enhancing existing applications, making your talent front and center in creating solutions that redefine innovation for the world. This position is fully on-site at our San Jose, CA facility, where you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to supporting our nation's heroes and ensuring national security.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
• Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Agile experience preferred.
• Experience with Qt/C++ in a Linux environment.
• Experience with RDBMS (relational database management system).
• User Interface development experience.
• Experience with containerization and virtualization.
• Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges creatively.
