SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer for our Legacy Software Baseline team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with a focus on legacy systems, as well as experience in military mission planning, operations, and wargaming. This position supports the Air Force Command and Control Simulation Environment Training (C2SET) Sustainment through Modification & Modernization contract. The C2SET constructive suite of applications is developed under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/C3CO), C2SET Program Management Office (PMO), Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. Presently, the C2SET program is modernizing the Air Force's constructive air model and is developed under the AFLCMC/C3CO Kessel Run Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP) program to address several M&S challenges, including: Supporting Air Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) application development, testing, and field training. Fully transitioning and replacing the current Air Force Modeling and Simulation Training Toolkit (AFMSTT) stimulation and simulation capabilities via Agile software methods. Reinforcement training of Joint Force Air Component Commanders (JFACC) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) worldwide. Supporting AF constructive modeling and predictive analysis of modern warfare. As the Legacy Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the sustainment and operational readiness of all legacy training, simulation, and stimulation artifacts.
